It's gonna take hours to get the gear off and 24 hours — [I] get a backlog, if I miss it. So, once you start setting, you better be really confident about what you're trying. Because when you miss Yeah it's a manpower issue; it's a fuel issue; it's a bait issue, right?
Oh, all those things, and it's getting behind the fleet issue, a delivery issue, it's like there's so much that goes into it. It's a weather issue. Now my plan is whether it's like, all of those things combined. Right, yeah I got my gear on, and now it's , I can't wear my gear on. I'm on three days to get to where I want to try. So, there's, there's a lot of chess involved in craft. That chess idea, or describing it that way, comes through a lot on the show, because just the sheer physical weight of all that gear being pushed out there, then you have to put it back onto the onto the boat, and I think it's sometimes not clear to the viewer how vast the Bering Sea really is, what you're dealing with in terms of where your workplace is, so to speak, and how that relates to the challenges.
Well, it is. I mean sometimes, you gamble, and you're going through an area. And now, you can't go north, because I'll tell you a story, right? And this involves the camera guys, as well. So we've got a couple of guys on board, and one of them [is] supposed to go on Sig's, and St.
Paul, and he's 80 miles southwest of them — it's born north east 60 heavy. Okay, if you go from here to the end of your commute to get home, you got to put ice on.
And so it's like saying, "Hey, you need to get my camera guy here. Monte says, he goes, "You know what, if you can put two rockets on the back of this, we can be as good as St. Paul is right now for your camera dude. So, sometimes you just, you're pinned down, you can't move. And you have to have that— you have to anticipate that you have to do — there's so much that goes into all that — which they show some of it on the show, but they don't show all of what we do.

Hillstrand said there were a couple storms this past fishing season that he should never have been in. One cannot choose the time when the catch is running strongly.
It costs too much money. The quicker you catch your quota, the less money you spend, the less fuel, less insurance, less everything. Discovery Channel pits the captains against one another in a heated battle to make the most money in the crabbing season.
I hope I do a little bit better than you, but I hope we all do good. John should definitely return. Keith Colbert needs to go. You obviously have not met Captain Keith. He really is a nice guy.
I would like to see the Time Bandit back. Love Johnathon! He should return ASAP! I agree. Keith is so rude and treats his brother horrible. Not sure why Monte ever comes back to help him. Please bring back Capt John and the Time Bandit!!! He is my favorite one out of all the captains. I would love to see the time bandit back.
It is a must. Jake Harris back is just as important too. As long time viewers of Deadliest Catch, we Have watched each personality face nearly catastrophic circumstances both on the sea and in their private lives. And now, we watch the veterans leave and or retire to more gentle lives. The Time Bandit is one of our favourites and we would love to see them back. They add fun and humour to the show. Too many of the originals are gone now. Bring them back for season 15 in the beginning and let them explain about the failed engine.
Then bring em back in the middle of the season when they return to the fishing grounds. Please bring them back my husband who is on hospice loves to watch him he watches the reruns just to watch the time bandit and captain Jonathan. I would love to see the Time Bandit back on, they helped make the show and really miss them on the show!!!
Not the same without them!!! Would love to see them back!! They were the humorous guys and made the show fun to watch with their pranks and fireworks. I too cannot stand Keith. I turn the channel when he comes on. You might not care for him as a fisherman, but does a lot outside of the show. Always has, and always will.
After Phil the captain of Cornelia Marie passing the Time Bandit was needed to keep the fans spirits up. It would be very lovely and fun to see the crew again. We would love to see the Time Bandit return to the show.
